Devon County Council and the Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership are excited to invite you to an event to give you vital information about Get Help to Retrain, the first part of the National Retraining Scheme, launched on 16 October 2019.

The Government is consulting businesses to help guide the design of the scheme which is intended to be the Government’s preferred future approach to upskilling those currently in employment. The scheme needs to be supportive of business ambitions, flexible, and meet the needs of people in work from the businesses view. The government are interested in business views on what would work for them, including the upskilling offer and tailoring some of it to work for both businesses and the individuals.

Trial portals around Level 2 qualifications and functional skills have already been launched in the Liverpool City Region, North East Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and West Midlands Combined Authority areas.

Get Help to Retrain is now being launched in the Heart of the South West LEP area, Leeds City Region area and the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority area.
