ENTER BY 31 JANUARY: Queer STEMM ChampionsPublished: 16th December 2019

The closing date for entries is 31 January 2020.

Queer STEMM Champions is a competition run by PRISM to celebrate diversity and inclusion during LGBT History Month. We are challenging students and apprentices aged 16+ to champion an LGBTQIA+ individual whose work has contributed to our understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Medicine (STEMM).

Following the celebration of mathematician Alan Turing in recent years, including the posthumous pardon for his criminal conviction for homosexuality, entrants are specifically challenged to champion a less well-known LGBTQIA+ individual.

Winning entrants will be invited to give a 10-15 minute presentation on their chosen individual at the University of Exeter on the evening of February 26th 2020.
