HotSW LEP Industrial Strategy makes case for investment in Environmental Futures and Big DataPublished: 21st February 2019

The Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership (HotSW LEP) is developing a Local Industrial Strategy, and has just released a Progress Statement and Command Paper, which will form the basis for consultation on the content of the strategy.

The paper drills down to identify three priorities for investment in Devon and Cornwall. In doing so it recognises the exceptionally high concentration of climate and environmental science experts in Exeter and the wider region, as well as the region’s role as a cutting-edge place for enviro-technology, marine science, agri-tech and data analytics.

The proposed priorities include digital futures, Big Data, environmental and health technologies, clean energy and high tech engineering; together this provide a valuable platform on which to build on the Impact Lab’s early success.
